Do you love joining tours? With a group of people, you can visit several places of interest and learn more about it. A guide facilitates the trip and tells you trivia and other pieces of information.
Here are the tours you can take:
- Footprint Tours Cambridge
This is a free tour that can be taken even by older children. The tour’s itinerary is the city center, Cambridge University, and the river Cam. You will learn about the important personality in the City, as well as get more information about the university.
Tours are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The meeting place is at Fudge Kitchen. You can pre-book your slot to ensure that you can join the tour on your preferred date.
- Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour
Enjoy a whole day of going around the city on the top deck of a bus. There are 19 stops along the way. You can get off the Cambridge University. Or you can opt to see other sites such as the Fitzwilliam Museum, Bridge Street, and the Cambridge American Cemetery. You can also buy some souvenirs when you pass by Market Street.
Tours are available from Monday to Sunday, starting at 10:10 AM until 5:30 PM. Tour starts at the Silver East Street. Guests can join until the last 30 minutes of the tour. The tour price starts at £21.38. There are no tours given every December 25, 26, and January 1.
- Oxbridge Tour
From Ghouls to Harry Potter, this tour will take you around Cambridge and Oxford. Your guides are the students and alumni from the two universities. Expect plenty of activities, such as visiting historical places and biking, for adults and children alike. You don’t have to worry because helmets will be provided to those who want to ride a bike.
There are three tours available daily, starting at 11 AM. Tour prices range from £27.50 per person for a private tour and £120 for punting boat tours. The meeting place is at Corpus Christi Golden Clock.
